A Weekend of Celebration On and Around the Rivers.  The Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord  Wild and Scenic River Stewardship Council proudly presents the Eighth Annual River Fest June 13 and 14, 2009.  There are some 50 events taking place in Bedford, Berlin, Billerica, Carlisle, Concord, Framingham, Lincoln, Lowell, Southborough, Stowe, Sudbury, and Wayland.  Wayland is sponsoring a History Paddle from 9 to noon on Saturday, June 13 with Brian Donahue as guide and historian.  This year the trip will begin at Sherman Bridge Road.  Paddlers can take out at Route 27 or continue to Greenways to join SVT for a (BYO) riverside picnic.  Visit www.Sudbury-Assabet-Concord.org for a complete schedule of events, including walks, boat trips, fishing derbies, concerts, critters, and family fun!
