At 11:03am Friday morning, the Wayland Police Department was notified of an attempted armed robbery at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Commonwealth Road.  A white male subject had entered the store and displayed a black handgun.  The subject demanded to see the head pharmacist, however he fled the store without any cash or drugs.  There were no injuries to any employees or customers of the pharmacy.

Police are looking for a white male in his thirties, 5’6” to 5’9”, 140-160 lbs., with brown hair (the left of the two sketches).  He was last seen wearing a red or green baseball cap, tan cotton slacks, sunglasses and a pullover sweatshirt over a collared shirt.  He left in a vehicle driven by a second white male (the right of the two sketches) who appeared to be in his sixties with gray hair, in an unknown direction of travel.  The vehicle appeared to be a newer model Acura or Lexus, four-door sedan, gray or silver in color.

Anyone who may have witnessed or have any knowledge of this crime, is asked to contact the Wayland Police Detective division at 508-358-4721.
