Default The age and renovation schedule for peer high schools

Listed below is information about some of our peer high schools and recent or pending renovation/expansion projects. Note that this data is a bit dated; if anyone has updates, please post.

    • A-B [1963]: $52M renovation/expansion scheduled for 2005 completion [completed 2004]
    • Brookline [1920]: $44M renovation completed in 1999 [completed 1998]
    • C-C [1961]: [no renovation]
    • D-S [1969]: $34M renovation/expansion scheduled for 2004 completion [completed 2004]
    • Lexington [1949]: $30M renovation/expansion completed in 2002 [completed 2001]
    • L-S [2005]: $74M renovation/expansion recently completed [completed 2005]
    • Needham [1930]: $51M renovation/expansion pending in 2003
    • Wayland [1960]: $6M renovation in 1992 [completed 1991]
    • Wellesley [1938]: $136M renovation approved in 2008
    • Weston [1961]: $15M renovation completed in 1998 [completed 1998]

On the Town Crier discussion board, a frequent poster claims to have the original construction dates, but for some curious reason, refuses to share them. If anyone has these, I'd also be interested to know. Mind you, while I'm interested, I certainly don't see the relevance (as the aforementioned poster does) of these ages to the conditions and needs at Wayland High School. Update: original construction dates added in brackets after the school name; also, current information on renovation date; both per MSBA, see post below.

A kind Wayland resident saw fit to direct me to information on the MSBA web site including original construction dates for peer high schools. I've added that information to the original post in this thread.
