Award-winning pastelist Gregory Maichack will present a workshop on "How to Paint in Pastels Like an Impressionist" on Wednesday, April 29, 7-9 p.m.  The class will combine lecture, demonstration, and hands-on experiment by participants, with Maichack guiding the group and coaching individuals. We will use professional grade pastels and paper. Program includes demo of pastel handling and a showing of Maichack’s original pastel paintings. It will cover Impressionist concepts: Monet’s favorite color harmonies, divisionism, and the Impressionist shimmer. Participants will leave with their own art projects.  The workshop is limited to adults over 18 and is co-sponsored with the Council on Aging.
