Wayland Town Crier 3/19/09: Sunshine Week: MetroWest towns fare well on superintendent e-mail requests. As part of Sunshine Week, the Daily News requested copies of e-mails sent between 13 area school superintendents and the heads of their respective school committees during March 2008. Every district responded, and most districts charged little or nothing for the e-mails. Weston, Wayland and Framingham charged $10 for those messages, while Waltham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Franklin, Marlborough, Hudson, Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School – provided or offered to provide copies free of charge. Westborough schools said access to e-mails would cost a minimum of $250, Milford estimated a $320 charge for searching and segregating e-mails.
