Thursday, April 16, Sudbury Valley Nature Photographers hosts a Special Public Presentation on April 16 with renowned Photographer Karl Schanz: “My Passion: Travel and Nature”, Wayland Town Building, 7pm.

A presentation by renowned photographer Karl Schanz, APSA, MNEC, entitled, "My Passion: Travel and Nature." will be featured at an "open" meeting of Sudbury Valley Nature Photographers to be held in the Public Hearing Room of the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, on Thursday evening, April 16. The event will begin with refreshments at 7pm, followed by the program at 7:30pm. After the program there will be time for a Q&A with the photographer. Attendees may bring one or two images (slides, digital on CD or memory stick, or prints) for Karl’s comments.

All are welcome and there is no charge. The Town Building is handicapped accessible.

Karl Schanz, APSA, MNEC is a master photographer specializing in nature who has been mesmerizing New England Council of Camera Club (NECCC) conferences for many years with his outstanding images. A judge, lecturer and exhibitor, he presents programs throughout the United States and Canada. A member of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association, Lowell Camera Club, and the Massachusetts Camera Naturalists (a by-invitation-only nature organization), Karl’s retirement has allowed him to travel and photograph extensively throughout the world.

Karl’s presentation will include photographs he took in the Alaska wilderness and an audio-visual show that includes images from three trips to Africa, including songs in English and Swahili.
