The state’s cases of Lyme disease, which is starting its peak season with the arrival of warm weather, have grown remarkably the past decade. Predicting its frequency for this coming summer is too difficult to do, doctors said yesterday, but the area’s ecology is well suited for the host deer and ticks which spread it.
