Selectmen offer unanimous support for new ALS program

Wayland Town Crier 2/12/09: Selectmen offer unanimous support for new ALS program. The Board of Selectmen’s unanimous decision to go forward with a new Advanced Life Support (ALS) system for the town was greeted with applause at its meeting on Monday night. While the program is projected to cost taxpayers up to $30,000 in capital costs and $65,000 in operating costs during the first year, those numbers could decrease depending on how much the service is utilized by Wayland residents and neighboring towns. In the most optimistic outlook, the program could eventually provide a revenue source for the town.
