Many local flu clinics delayed due to late vaccine delivery

Metrowest Daily News 9/23/09: Many local flu clinics delayed due to late vaccine delivery. Area towns are holding free seasonal flu clinics for residents, but many are having to push back or cancel dates because of delays in delivering the vaccine. Ruth Mori, the public health nurse in Wayland, said the town is still waiting on 400 to 500 doses of the vaccine. Typically, Wayland doesn’t hold flu clinics until November, but this year’s are on Oct. 6 and 15 at the Wayland Town Building. The clinics are available to residents over 60, but officials have warned they may be postponed.
