Wayland Town Crier 2/12/09: Traditions resident indulges love of art. Growing up during the Depression in a family of marble quarries, stonemasons and sculptors, Ron Vanelli was not encouraged to become an artist. Instead, he went to Harvard and became a chemist. Today, the Traditions resident is indulging his artist passion, working in a variety of media, including oil painting and sculpting.
