Town-wide collaboration is the key to finding ways to close recurring budget gaps, according to the Finance Committee, which is recommending the establishment of an Economic Development Committee to bring fresh perspective and "out-of the-box thinking" to solve fiscal challenges. The FinCom reported on the results of a multi-year financial stability plan rolled out in 2006 at a budget forum on Monday night, and outlined new objectives for fiscal years 2011 to 2015.
