Wayland Town Crier 10/21/09: MetroWest Medical Center proud to partner with Wayland on ALS services. Residents of Wayland, Weston, Lincoln and Sudbury can rest a little easier. Because of a partnership between MetroWest Medical Center and the Emergency Medical Services in Wayland, residents will have access to advanced life support services (ALS) closer to home should the need arise. The intercept unit, which is part of the Wayland Fire Department, is called "Fire Medic 1" and will officially begin supplemental advanced life support intercept services on Oct. 26 at 7 a.m.
