Wayland Town Crier 10/9/09: Talking teens and drug use . Isn’t it ironic that we baby boomers are now dealing with the issue of teenagers and drug use? We were the generation that experimented with recreational drugs in record numbers. Most of us survived with minimal consequences, some did not.

Parents have different approaches to this issue. Some allow their teenagers to drink moderately at home under supervision, while others do not. Some allow their kids and friends to drink at their homes and keep car keys so no one can drive under the influence. Others have a policy of not condoning underage drinking and have varying degrees of discipline for infractions.
