Longfellow’s Wayside Inn will host an Oktoberfest celebration "under the stars" in its canopy tent, featuring live music, authentic German cuisine, and both American and German Oktoberfest beers. Come and celebrate autumn with traditional German flair and foods, like beer-basted spit-roasted chicken with German mustard, smoked pork chops (Kasseler Rippchen), bratwurst and knockwurst cooked in beer with apples, and homemade sauerkraut. Tickets for this all-you-can-eat event are $25, with proceeds benefiting the nonprofit mission of the Wayside Inn. The Black Sheep German band (also known as Schwarze Schafe) will entertain guests. This family-friendly event provides the perfect opportunity for friends and neighbors to gather and celebrate the pre-holiday season – and enjoy a taste of European conviviality!
