Mike Carpenter, author of the newly published book, The Risk-Wise Investor: How to Better Understand and Manage Risk (Wiley) will be at the library at 7:30pm on Thursday, October 15.  For over 15 years Carpenter has been extremely interested in the subjects of risk and risk management and in identifying new, user-friendly, non-technical ways to help investors better understand and manage risk.  His book gives readers the tools to implement a personalized, systematic risk management planning process to manage risk more effectively and improve the likelihood of achieving specific investment goals.  During the presentation, audience members will take a self-graded personal risk IQ quiz to shed some light on how they approach decisions involving risk.
