A. Bradford (Brad) Conant of Wayland will receive the Morgan Volunteer Award at the Sudbury Valley Trustees Annual Meeting, scheduled for October 1st at SVT headquarters at Wolbach Farm in Sudbury. The Morgan Volunteer Award honors an individual who has given feely and unselfishly of their time, talents and resources.
“Brad truly exemplifies the spirit of the Morgan Volunteer Award,” said Ron McAdow, Executive Director of Sudbury Valley Trustees. “He has dedicated numerous hours of hard work in support of land conservation and local land stewardship for Sudbury Valley Trustees and for Mass Audubon’s Drumlin Farm, as well as sharing his many skills with Habitat for Humanity.”
Also recognized at this year’s Annual Meeting will be J. Christopher and Keena Clifford of Wayland, who will be presented with an SVT Life Member Award. SVT Life Membership is awarded to community leaders who have shown exceptional service and generosity.
Sudbury Valley Trustees will also recognize other area residents with the following awards: The Distinguished Public Service Award to Elizabeth Herland of Shrewsbury, Manager of the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service’s Eastern Massachusetts National Wildlife Complex, located in Sudbury, the SVT Lewis Conservation Award to Rebecca Cutting of Sudbury; and the SVT Steward of the Land Award to Charles Bradley, formerly of Northborough who has recently relocated to Woodstock, CT. This year’s meeting will honor George Lewis, a founding member who along with 6 neighbors helped establish SVT over 55 years ago.
