$40M project allows Framingham to change its water supply

Metrowest Daily News 5/14/09: $40M project allows Framingham to change its water supply. Town Meeting last night approved a $40 million water project that will tap into the prolific Birch Road Wells, which could supply half of the town’s water and save tens of millions of dollars in years to come. The well, which has been referred to as the "highest yielding" aquifer in eastern Massachusetts, is in the northeast part of town, off Riverpath Drive, near the Wayland town line.
