Wayland Town Crier 4/2/09: Tight race for School Committee. In two joint appearances last week, the five contenders for two open School Committee seats answered questions submitted through a moderator at the League of Women Voters Candidates Night and on a local cable show. Candidates Malcolm Astley, Jeffrey Baron, Jeff Dieffenbach, Steven Glovsky and Paul Grasso stated their qualifications and goals in a two-minute statement and responded to questions that ranged from their support of a High School building project to cost-cutting measures and changes in the budget review process to allow more public scrutiny of each line item.
