Forum Rules

Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below. If you agree to the terms, please check the 'I agree' checkbox and press the 'Register' button below. If you would like to cancel the registration, click here to return to the Forum's index.

All users must have a connection to the Town of Wayland. We welcome current residents, past residents, town employees and those interested in living in Wayland. This is a Wayland-centric forum, and primarily contains discussion on Wayland-specific topics, so while all are welcome to read our posts, we do limit membership to those with a sincere interest in our Town.

Users in the 55+ Forum may use a pseudonym as their username, but all other users must use their real name as their user name. 55+ Users using a pseudonym must provide their real name (but it will not be displayed anywhere on the site).

We require real names to ensure that the opinions expressed on the Forum are legitimate, and are not from people misrepresenting themselves as someone else. We feel that users will be more civil and accurate if posting knowing they are using their own names. We will verify all new registrants. Please do not attempt to register with a different name.. We will blacklist users who do this.

Although the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages and photos. All messages express the views of their author, and neither the owners of this forum, nor Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd. (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages or photos that are obscene, vulgar, hateful, threatening, or that violate any laws.

The owners of this forum reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

Please read the FAQ regarding posting regulations for all rules regarding posts.

After you complete registration, your account will be placed in moderation. You will be unable to post to the Forums until your account has been activated. When your account has been activated, you will receive an email notifying you. There may be a delay before activation, as moderation is done manually and requires a volunteer to be at their computer (i.e., possible, but not likely in the middle of the night! :-) During holiday or vacation periods, the delays may be longer, but most new members will be approved within twelve hours.
