maintain and administer a senior citizen chorus
to improve the quality of life for chorus members and
the community through art and song.
Infante Sano
seeks is to improve newborn and maternal health in Latin
America and the Caribbean. By equipping hospitals and
staff with the tools and skills they need, Infante Sano
is working hard to save and improve the lives of mothers
and newborns.

supports children in the Domincan Republic.
Parmenter Community
Health provides all residents of our
community with exceptional homecare, hospice and
supportive services enabling our clients to maintain or
improve their current levels of function in the face of
disease, disability or the aging process. Furthermore,
we enable the dying and their families to face the end
of life with comfort and dignity. |
Mazie Foundation
recruits volunteers from area companies to act as
Mentors to high school students recommended for the
program by their school counselors. The Mentors help,
encourage and motivate their Mentees to dream of what
they want in life and commit to do the things that will
make their dreams a reality.
Rebuilding Together
Boston (RTB) is a non-profit organization working in
partnership with the community, with volunteers and
skilled labor, to stabilize and revitalize homes in our
city at no cost to our recipient.
Save a Dog Foundation
is an all breed dog rescue and adoption agency.
We take in dogs from high-volume shelters and thus save
them from being put to sleep. We also take in dogs whose
owners no longer want or who have been abandoned.
Spread the Bread
is a
community bread-giving initiative to help both kids and
adults get into the spirit of giving by spreading bread
to honor our heroes and spread good will to those in
need. This unique bread philanthropy also empowers and
teaches young children that they can make a difference,
regardless of their age.
Sudbury Valley Trustees
protects the wildlife habitat and ecological integrity
of the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Rivers Valley for
the benefit of present and future generations.
Vokes Players
Wayland Angels Wayland Angels is spreading a
heartwarming dose of care, bringing to others what they
are challenged to do for themselves. Their goal is to
build a strong, caring network throughout the Wayland
community, bringing people together in difficult times.
All Wayland, MA residents are welcome to join this
community network of angels.
Wayland Charitable Committee provides
short-term, emergency help to Wayland residents in
financial need. Recipients must have lived in Wayland
for at least one year. Payment is made directly to
vendors or the suppliers of services. Assistance is
provided for utilities, rent, medicine and
pharmaceutical needs, food, clothing, and many other
items. Applicants names are kept in confidence.
The degree of financial disclosure depends on the size
of the request. Residents in need of financial help are
encouraged to contact the Committee’s answering machine
at 508-358-3624.

Wayland
Community Center's goal is to enrich the
community of Wayland by designing, funding and
developing a first-class, handicapped accessible
aquatics and community facility.
Wayland
Historical Society collects, studies and
conserve artifacts and records relating to the history
of Wayland and its people, preserves and maintains the
1740 Grout-Heard House as the home of the Wayland
Historical Society, provides programs which are relevant
to local history for residents of the community
including school children, assists in the research of
all who seek information on Wayland history,
disseminates information which will provide a fuller
understanding of the traditions and the history of the
Town of Wayland and its neighboring communities.
Wayland Public Library Millennium Endowment Fund
provides a permanent supplementary source of
funding for the future, helping to assure the
continuation of excellence in library services.
Wayland Public Schools Foundation seeks to
enhance the education of Wayland’s children and provide
support to Wayland’s teachers by funding grant proposals
for innovative projects and creative units of study not
covered by the regular school budget.
Wayland to
Waveland is a public/private partnership
aimed at providing short- and long-term support to the
residents of Waveland, Mississippi who sustained major
losses from Hurricane Katrina. This support will be in
the form of developing personal relationships, assisting
in the rebuilding effort, and leveraging the many skills
and resources that Wayland residents can offer our
sister community.
Wayland Veterans Memorial Committee.
The memorial is intended to help people better
appreciate the gift of freedom by providing a serene
place for contemplation and meditation, by helping to
recall and understand past sacrifices and the costs of
freedom, and by educating the current and future
generations of their responsibility to defend their
freedoms and to pass them on undiminished.
Wheels for the World
collects, restores, and distributes wheelchairs,
walkers, and metal canes and crutches to the disabled in
developing countries, such as Ghana, Cuba, Honduras,
Romania and the Ukraine. In these countries the disabled
are either discarded or left to drag themselves around.
Wheels for the World New England covers all of the New
England states and is based in Wayland. |
